Almost Heaven West Virginia

Welcome to the West Virginia Mountains page. Here you can see some pictures showing the beauty of the Potomac Highlands. This is an area of the state where you can go back to a simpler time, and enjoy peaceful hikes that lead you to vistas that can take your breath away. You can also enjoy fishing and swimming in clear mountian streams. There are several commercial caves to be explored by all ages of visitors. For the experienced caver there are hundreds of wild caves and caverns that can be explored with the landowners permission. It is a land of friendly people that treat visitors like neighbors or long lost friends, always willing to share a story or a good word as you travel along. They may even tell you some of the better fishing areas....and the fishing here for smallmouth bass and rock bass is great. Enjoy the photos and links to these hidden treasures.
